I want to register
with Location First as a model, what i need to do
?
Step no 1:
You need to get a Regular Camera with 24 shots of film
OR
you need to buy a Instant Camera which has 24 shots.
Step no 2
:
Take different angle
:
8 shots - Face (head to
shoulders)
8 shots - Half body ( head to waist
area)
8 shots - Full length ( head to toe
)
Step no 3 :
Process the films in a camera shop.
Even the digital camera
shots should be processed in a shop
(As it is of a better quality)
Step no 4 :
Visit Location First Modeling Agency in-person
and give our staff the 24 pictures and the negatives (film)
(we need the negatives
as we need to make many copies to sent
to all our clients)
We will not accept any pictures without negatives
(as we cannot make
copies of it)
You will also be asked to fill up a form.
Once you are registered with Location First as
a model
you are not allowed to be registered with
another modelling agency.
Do you accept digital pictures
?
Yes, we DO accept digital
pictures. Steps are same as above
However there are certain
quidelines to follow.
No1: You must print out at
least 8 actual copies for us.
No2: You must burn these files(24 pictures) into a CD-R for us
to keep.
What you need to wear for the
picture?
For Ladies, we need to see you body figure and legs well in the
picture.
Tank top and mini skirt
would be good.
You can also change 2 or 3 different clothes
so that we would have
a wider choice of selection.
2 shots with swimming suit would also be
good.
For Men, anything smart and casual is
OK.
If you have a muscular body, few shots without shirt would be good as
well.
No baggy jeans trousers
.
As the pictures taken are
used for showing to our clients,
keep it in good taste with a normal smile. Make sure we can see you
teeth
when you
smile.
Do i need pay anything when i register with
Location First ?
We DO NOT charge a regitration fee but we
require each applicant to
provide us with the 24 pictures as
mentioned above.
What type of modeling jobs do you have
?
Depending on our clientsthere is job for virtually anything.
We have
from TV commercials,Magazines, Catalog, Posters, Motion Pictures,
Movie. for
companies like Nike, New Balance, Vidal-Sassoon &
etc.
We do NOT accept any NUDE(naked) modeling jobs.
What age group are you models
?
Any age from baby to
adults.
We get most jobs for age 14- 24 years
old.
However each of our clients look for a
particular image when they are casting for an
individual.
We, the casting department (agent) will
submit pictures to fit their demand.
What are the working hours for a
part-time model ?
Working hours : Paid by per day of
work.
How much is the pay for being a part-time
model per day?
For Adults
Pay
: Varies between
\10,000 (Approx.US$100) and even upto \100,000(US$1000) per day
depending on our client & type of job
received..
On the average, pay is
normally \30,000 (US$350 per day).
Children modeling
have a slight lower rate.
How & when do you pay the model after the
job has been completed?
Location First pays the model in Cash in Japanese YEN at
the END of the month.
Example : If you did the modeling on Nov 12th, you will
be paid on Nov 30th
Is any written contract needed
?
Location First does not require any type of
written contract,
or written agreement because the majority of
americans residing on Okinawa are under SOFA-STATUS. We are aware that all
military personnel are here on the island to serve their contry and that is
their NO.1 priority.
However, we have many dependent wives,
children and military personnel that want to register to "model" during their
free time.
i have registed before with location first in
the past, should i register again ?
Yes, you should. Location First have
undergone a major staff reshuffle
and therefore if you have registed with us
before 2004 October, please
register with us again immediately. At the
moment, all old files are deleted.
We are using only new models after 2004
October.
How long have you been dealing
with American part-time model?
Location First Modeling Agency is the
BIGGEST & LONGEST serving modeling agency in
Okinawa
& we have been providing modeling jobs
for americans since 1977.
We have a reputation of paying well and
on-time after your
modeling job has been complete. (unlike other
modeling agency which has financial difficulty & unable to pay the models
even after the job has been completed)
Because we are the biggest modeling
agency, we receive most jobs that comes
from mainland Japan, and therefore
increases your chance of getting a job as a model.
Would you take
pictures of us if we come to your office ?
No, we will not. As the person in charge of
taking pictures
have a busy schedule outside the
office.
We will take pictures of you if you have been
invited to our office with a appointment.
Can i register with another modeling
agency(off-base) on Okinawa.?
No, you are not allowed to register with another
agency
If you wish to move to another Modeling agency, please
inform us in writing.
Once you have moved to another modeling agency, we will
not accept
you again for registration.
